Quinte-Tweed Master Gardeners (including Belleville, Brighton, Carrying Place, Marmora, Roslin, and Tamworth)
Our group formed in 1987.
We give advice clinics at various places throughout the year. Our group meets Jan - Nov, with meetings in June, July and Aug being pot luck dinners at members gardens, lots of fun.
Our geographic area covers between Brighton to the west, Kingston to the east, Prince Edward County to the south and no real northern boundary, but our most northern member is almost in Marmora. We are working on a website, not finished yet, no hotline.

Prince Edward County Master Gardeners (including Picton, Bloomfield, Wellington, Milford, and Ameliasburgh)
Our current group has been operating since 1999. There was a previous group, but there were only two members that remained when this group started. We represent Prince Edward County (Ontario’s only Island County) which lies in Lake Ontario, south of Belleville. Prince Edward County is known for its agricultural roots and more recently for its vineyards and as a tourist destination at Sandbanks Provincial Park and it is a popular area for retirement, for city folks who want to start a new life in the arts, B&Bs and gourmet restaurants. With new people settling in all the time, there’s lots of opportunity for Master Gardeners to give gardening advice. Besides giving advice at fairs, at the Horticultural Society and individually, we write papers on various gardening topics which we hand out for free and some of our members teach high school students and youngsters about horticulture. We also speak in public.

Rideau 1000 Islands Master Gardeners (including Kingston, Gananoque, Brockville, Lansdowne, Mallorytown, Rockport and the rural area around these centres)
The Rideau 1000 Islands Master Gardeners, originally called the Gananoque Master Gardeners, was officially started in 1991 with Metje Mabee as the person responsible for its inception. The area we cover is the Kingston, Gananoque, Brockville, Lansdowne, Mallorytown, Rockport and the rural area around these centres.
The group has been available to the community in a variety of forums. We have members teaching at the local college and schools. We have been active in a Horticulture Therapy program at Brockville Psychiatric Hospital and many in-house programs at other facilities. Community gardens are overseen by our members and speaking engagements are an ongoing endeavour. Our members are involved with the Community in Blooms judging. We participate in different clinics, in the Leeds and Grenville area, which include the Lung Association each year and providing information at many venues.
